MIDI Remote Mapping issue when adding new tracks

I feel like I must be missing something obvious, so I’m asking here in case anyone has any wisdom. I have a DJ Tech Tools MIDI Fighter Twister and I’ve been able to map it via the Mapping Assistant to various tracks. However, it seems like the mappings to mixer controls are hardcoded to track numbers, so if I change the number of tracks, the mappings are no longer valid, which forces me to go in and fix all the mappings again. Is there a way to force mappings to ‘stick’ to a particular track even if that track changes position (e.g. because I’ve inserted additional tracks before it)? I’d prefer not to write a script for something like this if at all possible.

Hi,

Yes, this is how MIDI Remote making works. The assignment is not to the exact track, the assignment is to the track slot.

How do people handle mappings when they projects have different track slots depending on their needs? Multiple templates and mapping files?

Hi,

For example by using Quick Controls. What exactly, do you want to do (assign)?
