The last problem was solved… ![]()
Seems to happen here on the second session of the day, after working in one session for several hours and opening a second without restarting Cubase.
Same problem here on Cubase 14.0.10 and X-touch. Randomly disconnects all the scripts, then when you reconnect, ignores the input from the X-touch, even though the MIDI IN Activity monitor detects it. It seems to get worse as I load more VSTi plugins.
Same problem here. I use Novation Launchkey mini and StreamDeck only. StreamDeck uses LoopMidi, LKMini doesn’t.
Sometime LKMini disconnects, sometimes the StreamDeck ports (eg StremDeck2DAWTrack), sometimes both usb devices disconnect. AND sometimes at startup nothing connects, most notably after first computer boot-up. Restarting C14 more often than not reconnects both.
Only just started happening. I don’t think there is a timeline connection with the C14.010 update, but I can’t be 100% sure? Using the latest Win11 update here on a nearly new fast AMD minibox.
Hi there.
I got the same on Cubase 13.051.
How did you solved it ?
Greetings
Oliver
Hi,
Cubase 14.0.40 is out. The issue is supposed to be fixed in this version.
I’m on 14.0.40 and facing the that same remote MIDI controller disconnected.
the usb device is recognized by Windows (11)
even Cubase itself recognize it as an input device
but MIDI Remote manager states it is disconnected.
I’m wondering how hard it could be to fix it… or maybe Steinberg simply don’t care?
definitely not upgrading to the new version 15 till this is fixed!
Perhaps the employee who developed the core features of MIDI Remote no longer works at Steinberg, and his colleagues now have to deal with something that they didn’t program themselves. This makes it very difficult to locate major problems. I would include the ‘disconnect’ problem in this category.
But maybe all available working time has just been put into Cubase 15 in order to be back at the forefront of the market.
Exactly… I guess the business logic is to produce new upgrade every year - no matter what. But leaving frustrated customers behind is not a good tactic, and who will buy those upgrades if annoying bugs keep piling up??
Steinberg should commit to quality - and fixing Cubase bugs is important part of it!
BTW, I’m s/w engineer and if Cubase needs more developers I could help (remotely)…. ![]()
I need to take a better look at it, but I started having this issue after I created a midi remote interface for the CC mode of one of midi controllers using v15. Once that script is in, devices randomly disconnect, crash the app used to pair them (they’re BLE MIDI devices) then no amount of reloading script will bring them back despite Cubase telling me they’re both connected.
Disconnected after return from sleep mode in Windows, Cubase 14.0.40
