Midi rendering for sampler not working cubase 9.40

After Cubase 9.40 it is not possible to rendering a midi file by dropping it in the sampler.
Instead of sound you can get a big noise

Do you mean Cubase 9.5.40? Could you please write a step-by-step repro?

Hi,

Do you have 64 bit float Processing Precision set in the VST Audio Setup? I can reproduce only in this case. If I set 32 bit float Processing Precision, I cannot reproduce it anymore.

Reported to Steinberg (CAN-18788).

It’s borked here too, as Martin suggests, it only works when set to 32 bit float.
