A bug fixed in HALion in 15.0.21 seems to be present for 3rd party plugins in 15.0.30.
Experienced using both GSI VB3-II and a separate MIDI expression pedal into Line6 Helix Native, but not certainly not limited to those 3rd party plugins, there’s an issue with having the MIDI output of the channel set to ANY… which is fixed by simply selecting 1 (or whatever single channel you want). The basic gist is you’re listening back to your file and you move the cursor around and the sound is gone, as if some CC was set to 0.
I’m not spending more time on this. See the above issue for additional thoughts. Again, the workaround is to change the MIDI Output channel from ANY to 1. Doing this, of course, eliminates using multi-part samplers and instruments that need to listen on more than 1 MIDI channel at a time… like VB3 which allows for 3 different MIDI channels at once. We’re limited to 1 MIDI channel for these instruments.
