(NOT djaychela) Yes this is NOT a bug, just a bit of bad design which, because it’s not used a lot in CUBASE although it might be by students in better score packages Cubase users mostly tend to be composers who do know how to play the simpler parts backwards. But things move on and maybe, because more students are using Cubase, this needs a redesign.

And attacking me for saying more or less the same thing as you is plainly another fight picking troll.
