Midi saved in template?

Trying to understand how to use templates.
I saved a project as a template.
I created a new project and selected my template under the “more” category.
It seems to have Created a new project with the settings that I saved in my template, however I was surprised to see that it also loaded up the notes on a midi track that I had played on the original project. The surprise me since midi notes are not settings, etc. I would’ve thought it would’ve left them out. So this seems to mean that before I save a template I should make sure all my tracks are clear. Is this correct?

Thank you

A template is a full project, that gets saved in a special folder and is accessible on start-up through the hub.
Anything you can save in a project can also be saved in a template, including midi and audio data.

I see. Thanks for the clarification.
Much appreciated.

This allows users to save simple (complex?) musical parts - a drum beat, for example - as part of a template.

Thanks. The more I think about it, it makes sense. People could use template to a variety of ways that hadn’t occurred to me at first.
