Midi send to VSTi ?

Prior to Cubase 7, i was able to assign a send from a midi track, to a VSTi. Now i can only send to a Midi effect. I tried left click right click, left, center, right side of the send box without any success. Is it me or is this is now gone or been forgotten ?

I’m on cubase 7 32bits 7.0.6, windows 7 64 bits, intel 980x, 12 Go ram.

If you actually switch on the MIDI send button at the top-left of the Send slot, you will now see a “Not Connected”, which you can now click on, to select from the drop-down menu.
