Midi timestretch?

I dragged a midi drum pattern form Groove Agent to a midi channel - I now want it to play at half speed. I know I can make the part play at half speed using GA, but I want to effectively stretch the midi part and then use the midi but assign different instruments.

Anyone know if I can do a midi timestretch? (I checked the midi menus but couldn’t see anything obvious)

MIDI is no “real time” data. It’s combined with a tempo information that defines the playback speed.

Set the Selection Tool (Arrow) to Sizing Applies Time Stretch and drag the lower right corner of your MIDI Part to resize it.

Use the “Sizing applies time stretch” select tool on you MIDI part.
