Sometimes when creating a new midi track it will copy the previous one and I am then not able to change the instrument to the one I want, because the browser also dissapears. Is this a known bug?
Hi @Marvin66
Please let us have a short clip which shows the steps leading to the issue.
Thanks
Lars
Here’s a video, I have to add the second track a couple of times before I can reproduce it and I think it happens whenever I add a midi effect (which I have done in the vid)
Usually a new midi track would default to the Acoustic Piano one but it seems to copy the track above in this case, I don’t know if this is normal behaviour.
At the end of the video you see I can’t browse instruments any more so am stuck with that midi track.
This is partly because Cubasis ‘tries to play smart’ and instead of actually creating a new midi-track it creates a track for an additional output provided by the plug-in in question.
This is also the case for any AUv3 instrument plug-ins that support multiple outputs and this behavior can’t (as far as I know) be disabled and one way to workaround this is to use the ‘duplicate’ arrow or select a track without a multi-out capable plug-in and use the + to add a midi or audio track.
Ah ok, I thought there might be a purpose behind it, will try the workarounds now I know!
