Midi track volume

I just recorded my first midi track using a midi keyboard. I had to use full volume on the keyboard and cubase. The volume still isn’t as loud as my audio tracks. This is my first time recording midi, so I’m not sure what to expect. Will I be able to increase the volume when I mix and eq? I’m not sure if this is typical.
Thanks

Short answer - yes.

The MIDI part info you’ve recorded is only the data that’s required to get a MIDI instrument (virtual or otherwise) to make a noise on playback.

So the volume of that playback can be adjusted by either editing the recorded MIDI info, or by configuring the playback device and sound you use to play it back into the the mix.

Without knowing more about your recording method, it’s hard to say why your MIDI parts sound quiet relative to your audio parts. Lots of possible reasons for that…
