For example, MIDI 03 sends to Kick Ninja 01. I want to apply note filtering, and I tried both a MIDI Insert and a MIDI Modifier — but neither works. Should they? I want to limit a full drum part to only the kick drum and I would like to not duplicate MIDI parts.

If your expectation is, that the MIDI Inserts are applied to the Send destination track, that this is not the case how does it work.
I didn’t quite understand what you meant, but can we try again? Can I send a MIDI track to multiple destinations and apply some inserts before those destinations? So in destination1, I have the unmodified MIDI, and in destination2 — the modified MIDI?
