Midi usb keyboard not showing up in studio set up

I am trying to record with my midi keyboard usb and it is not showing up when I add an instrument track like it did in my previous version of Cubase. The keyboard is not showing up in the studio set up midi ports. And it does not record anything on all Midi in the inputs on the track. The keyboard on the screen works in the track instrument set up. So it is like my Casio keyboard is not being recognised as it was before. I searched and the keyboard does not need drivers installed to work with Windows and it is still working on my previous Cubase version

You didn’t mention which version of Windows you are using.

If Windows 11, please try plugging it in and turning it on before you launch Cubase.

If you are using the new MIDI stack, we have a known issue on this with the fix going out starting this week.

Thanks, you were right. I just needed to have the keyboard plugged in and turned on before opening Cubase. Works fine now

Great. The fix for that (for apps that previously supported this feature) starts going out this week. So it will eventually go away for you if you keep updated.
