MIDI

Hi there,

ok, I’m not sure I’m in the right thread, but I didn’t find any MIDI thread.

I’d like to know if it’s possible to edit wav loop from its midi notes. For exemple, if I have a wav loop in F#m, and I want to edit it in Am, is it possible to edit its midi notes and then play it back with the wav sound sample?

Hi,

Do you want to Transpose the Audio loop?

Hi!

thanks for the reply. Not exactly. Transpose will only change the pitch of the audio. What I would like to do is to edit the wav sample. For exemple, if in the wav sample the pattern is A-B-C, I’d like to edit it like C-A-B. I wonder if it’s possible. I want to use my sample in a different notes pattern, without loosing the groove.

Hi,

I see. Yes, this is possible in Cubase Pro with the monophonic signal (optimised to vocal). Use VariAudio in the Sample Editor, please.

Variaudio I guess! but, how does it work to edit it? I worked in Variaudio, but I have to say that I’m far to be the best…

Yes, VariAudio, it was a typo, sorry.

See this video tutorial, please.

Thank you so much! so helpful!
