I have recently realized that all my midi controllers appear duplicated in the Midi input list.
But when I select the “alternative” midi ins, nothing happens, there is no midi input.
The manuals of the controllers do not write about this phenomenon.
However, it would be useful to be able to use these ins, as for example, Generic Remote Control mappings often clash with CC controller setting of VSTis.
What am I missing here?
This si specific to your Axiom device, rather than Cubase.
Generally when there are multiple outputs like this one is for notes and pitch wheel and mod wheel, and the other for other controls the device has, like faders, knobs etc.
This allows the device to be configured both as a midi input for playing music, and a remote controller.
This is exactly what I need, Now, how do I configure it this way?
(the manuals of the hardware do not say a word about it.)
