Migrating Cubase From One PC To Another

Hi there,

I’m migrating my Cubase 7 64-bit set-up from one computer to a newer, more powerful Xeon computer. I wanted to know how I can transfer all settings (key commands, general appearances, etc.) to the new computer? Obviously, the new computer’s VST’s will be installed on another drive so I don’t need that plug-in information to carry on and mess up the currently installed plug-ins on the new computer. Can anyone offer me any help?

You can save your Key Commands from the Key Commands window and then import them on the new computer. You can do the same thing with the Preferences.

These will be stored in your User Settings folder. To access this, go to the Start Menu, Programs, Steinberg Cubase 7, Cubase 7 User Settings. I hope this information helps.
