I’m thinking of maybe trying out if my Win7 Nuendo 5.5.1 projects open good enough in OSX Lion as most of the plugins I use do have OSX versions as well. Wasn’t as easy as I thought. All VSL & East West stuff opened just fine, but Voxengo Elephant limiter only showed in 32-bit Nuendo, and same goes for some special stuff like QuadraSID. They’re 32-bit plugs I know, but Win7 64-bit Nuendo opened them just fine through VSTBridge. Also, where is Embracer synth? It doesn’t show up in either 64-bit or 32-bit. I paid for it, damn it!
I was kind of hoping getting to OSX mostly because Apple’s Bootcamp is so bad (no Intel graphics in Windows with current Macbook Pro = runs hot & loud, eats battery fast), but it seems Nuendo is not that ready for OSX 64-bit. Any solutions except for Logic or sticking with Windows? Any other hickups in Nuendo OSX compared to Win7 I should be aware of? Anyone tried to use Windows Nuendo 5.5.1 in virtual machine like Parallels, etc.?
