Migrating from Windows to Mac, good idea?

I have Cubase Pro 8 working on windows 7, now do you guys advise to move to Mac, I was thinking to buy iMac or Mac Pro. :imp:  :astonished:

Long time Mac user here, I’d say if you have good reasons for moving to Mac APART from running Cubase, then go for it, but if you want to change because you perceive Cubase to be ‘better’ on Mac, that’s not the case. Cubase works well on both platforms, swings and roundabouts.

Cubase runs noticeably better on Windows, and so do several other programs. Not only that, but a generic PC with carefully picked parts will be much more powerful than a Mac of the same price.

In the Windows XP days Macs were far more stable than Windows which made them highly desirable for pros, but this isn’t the case anymore.

I strongly recommend you to just buy a new, more powerful PC.

Many PC cnfigurations can run mac os these days

there’s pretty much no difference except scrolling is reversed and the keyboard is slightly different.
