Hi all! this is an issue probably already posted somewhere, but couldn’t find it… also probably a stupid easy fix…
I was previously recording guitar thru my amp head with line out, giving decent sound, but would like to try miking. I found an old beat up shure SM57. Only problem is that it is considerably quieter than the rest of my tracks. My mic is up super close and my amp volume is pretty loud! so I’m certain this isn’t the issue… all levels on my Yamaha MG10xu are around 9 or 10, still fairly quite and distant sounding. what am I doing wrong?
