Once in a while something on the GUI lingers when it should disappear. Key Editor screentip in this example.

“does not affect usability” - it does, bc. if it’s there you cannot click what’s behind it, so you have to move the screen of the program you are using.
I found that if I return to the Key Editor then hover so the label disappears, it is gone when I return to score editing.
My Dorico platform is MacOS (Sonoma) 14.6.1

I have experienced this too. I have heard it is some kind of Mac OS GPU bug, because I have seen it occur in other applications too, but I could be wrong about this one specifically.
on my Mac it happens with any tooltip, as soon as I switch screens via cmd - Tab. Then the tooltip pops up. yeah, but no big thing
