Prior the purchasing Cubase 14 i read that this was the most stable Cubase ever.

Gieven that Cubase is very buggy 10 crashes a day, everysay, i was pleased to read this.

Having purchased it, i now know the reasons for greater stability is probably due to dropping VST 2 Plugins support, which was not made clear in Steinberg’s sales blurb.

Can Steinberg confirm that the new improved stability in C14 is not just the removal of VST2 plugins?

VST2 support hasn’t been dropped yet. At least it’s still available in the Windows version and, as far as I know, also on Mac with Rosetta. However, it’s disabled by default and can be turned on in the plugin manager.

I think if you have that many crashes, you may have some system issues to work on. Perhaps old or not fully supported cards (if you’re on Windows).
