Mismatched alignment between section players & single players

Have been looking into this for a while… but I’ve noticed that when you add section players, the instrument names in the score don’t align with the instrument names of single players.

Of course, I could just change all my string players to single instruments to match, but that sacrifices a fuller playback from section players and also forces my violins to be numbered “1,2” instead of “I,II” (I prefer the latter).

So is there a way to nudge only section player names over to the right to align with the rest of my score’s single instruments?

Not sure if it helps, but did you check the settings under Library->Engraving Options->Staff Labels?

I get this: Perhaps you changed some settings.

That was it! Hadn’t looked there. It was:

Library → Engraving Options → Staff Labels → Horizontal Position → Start of System

and then my setting was set too high for “Distance between outer or group staff label and systemic barline”
