Missing Content Files

Does anybody know what download has these content files? I am currently working on converting my SX3 projects to C15 and have been using 8.5 as an intermediary quite a bit.

Ever since I installed C15 I have been getting these missing content messages when I open C8.5.

Going back in time I dont get any other issues except in 10.5 I am getting warnings about these being missing as well.

Does anybody know which downloads in SDA contain these files? I can’t find them anywhere on my drives. And it seems like this all started when I installed C15.

Thes are missing from C10.5 the picture is what is missing from 8.5 (too long to type)

I’m not very good at this, so hoping @Grim or @Reco29 or @Johnny_Moneto will chip in.
Anyways.
Most, if not all, of those files are paid GrooveAgent expansions. If you haven’t bought them, just clicking “Ignore” should solve the issue.
If you did buy them, where did you install them?

Apparently they came with Cubase 10.5. I just found those all in my downloads folder.

So the only issues I’m having now are the 5 from the pictures, the vstsound updates.

No, I beg to differ. None of these come with any version of Cubendo.

I sometimes get the messages in your screenshot, usually when I open an old, old project and no longer use the plugins/loops/samples/etc in those projects. Clicking “Ignore” has always done the trick for me.

These were definitely in the download folder for 10.5 and I double clicked on them and library manager said they were registered and those errors went away.

So now I just need to find out where to get the 5 sound updates.

Im not actually using any of these sounds so it is not the end of the world, but I am concerned that C15 changed enough stuff that things aren’t quite right. Especially since I dont have everything migrated to C15 yet.

Hi,
@Googly_Shakespeare is right: Most expansions on the list don’t come with any Cubase version, you have to buy them separately.

@djpat
When it comes to the last missing files in your screenshot that’s tricky. I am not so much an expert for libraries as Googly is giving me credit for. Since these files are listed as updates it is possible that their pimarily goal was to meet updated or restructured standards of previous MediaBay versions (maybe also containing a couple of new or updated sound files). MediaBay has been restructured over the years and there has also been a major overhaul in recent years with the introduction of a new database. Maybe Cubase 15 did the same? As I said, I am out of my depth here.

It’s always the safest bet to render each track as an audio track, too. Especially, if plugins or VSTis are involved. I must admit that this was a dreadful and cumbersome task in early Cubase versions (the main reason why all my old projects are more or less gone). With the latest Cubase versions and its tools it’s a breeze - these chores can be done with a few clicks.

What I would do if I really needed to revive old projects: I would open these projects in previous Cubase versions (maybe skip one or two as a shortcut) and take them up the ladder step by step. If there’s an obstacle that can’t be overcome I’d go back and render all tracks with the tools that are provided within the latest version that still works. From there on I wouldn’t care too much if some tracks are still complaining about missing files - I’d be on the safe side.

Sorry, that’s all I got. Maybe someone who is more knowledgeable has another idea.

If you are entitled to update these files (which means you have a relevant licence for them), it should tell you in the Download Manger (it will open an update pane after a while when you launch the Download Manager).
