Missing Dynamic When Condensed

I can send Dorico file but the screen shot should explain what I am dealing with. Notice in bar 52 the 1st French Horn continues playing while the 2nd Horns drop out. Now look over to bar 60. Notice the 1st Horns stop playing and the 2nd Horns take over. The mp that is showing in Trombones is there and the same mp shows in the 2nd Horn PART but disappears in m. 60 in the score. Does anyone know how I can get the missing mp to show up in the score?

A similar thing happens 8 measures later when the 2nd Horns have a hairpin just before the 1st Horns come back in. That hairpin shows up in the 2nd Horn part but not on the score.

Thanks for any pointers.

It would be better to post the project (or subset of), especially with condensing issues. The relevant bits aren’t the score, but the myriad permutations of property and option settings. The experienced users here solve problems by knowing the relevant settings to look at. They might be able to suggest settings to look at, but there might be several. It’s more efficient to have someone poke about and respond with the solution, rather than a bit of back and forth.

sjanssens,
Understood. I will post a portion of this project containg the two problem ares listed above in the original post.

Thanks so much.

Here is a reduced score that will show what is happening. Notice the missing mp in 2nd French Horn in m. 60. It shows in the part and in Galley View but not in the score in Page View. Same deal with the hairpin in ms. 67 and 68. The hairpin disappears only in Page View in 2nd french Horn. It needs to be there so the conductor knows the dynamic for the 2nd Horns to enter.
Thank you.
Condensing Issue with dynamics.dorico (1.4 MB)

Hi @ghfagan51, thank you for the Dorico file.

Here is what gives me the desired result, editing the already present Condensing Change in bar 60 (which solves also the hairpin in bar 67-68  ):

You may want to reposition the 2. manually (bar 60, Horns).

Add-on:
as an explanation (attempt): the mentioned edit, resets the Condensing Change for the Horns of bar 44, from where where they lived in a single voice: this was probably causing the dynamic to not appear in bar 60, where the first horn stops playing.

Christian,
As usual, you have discovered a fix for me. However, when I followed your procedure the little 2 designating that this is a 2nd Horn part completely disappeared. Do you know how I can bring that back?
Thanks so much.

Christian,
Never mind. I see now it just moved it down near the 1st Trombone Part. I moved it and all is good.

You are welcome, @ghfagan51.
And yes, because of the mp now appearing, the 2. lands a little low, and as you discovered, moving it manually is desirable.
