Missing edit feature

Hey,
In the “Other” layer, I’ve used the harmonic selection feature, to select a pad synth, that I want to copy to the layer below, and the delete the pad synth from the “Other” layer. This all work fine, but when I use the funtion “copy to layer below”, the harmonic selection on the "other"layer is lost. To be able to delete the pad synth from the “other” layer, I then have to select the harmonics again, and use the “delete” funtion.

It’s basically the loosing of the selection, that is the problem.

If I understand correctly you just want to “move” the selected audio to another layer, so you could just do Edit > Cut Special > Cut to Layer Below (or maybe Cut to New Layer first and merge later, if you want to do some further edits).
Another somewhat clunky workaround would be to save your selection under Select > Save Selection… and load it again afterwards.
But in general I agree, sometimes it would be useful to keep a selection after any editing process.

You can reselect any selection by (if I remember correctly) ctrl + shift D

Ah, I wasn’t aware of that feature.
