Hi
My computer froze a few times yesterday while running Cubase.
Unfortunately this happened before doing a full backup for the project and now when I start the project it complains about 2 missing audio files.
Are these files lost forever? They don’t appear on the hard drive anymore.
All other audio files still exist in the Audio folder.

You could try a tool like Recuva which searches for files which have been deleted.

Apart from Recuva, there are many data recovery software available online which commits that they can recover your data; but, most of them failed to do so. I think you should try Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery – Professional software for recovering your audio files. It will help you in recovering your other file types too.
