I also don’t want update GA5 to version 6 as well. And I was purchased Absolute 6 two years ago. All my projects which I need to finish ASAP in GA5… so, I really hope that Steinberg will fix this issue with GA5..
After investigating further, I am now able to reproduce the problem and temporarily fix it. Unfortunately, this fix does not last permanently. I have therefore entered this into our database, spoken with the developers, and hand it over to them. I hope that they will find a solution to the problem as soon as possible.
Looks like Groove Agent 6 doesn’t have that problem. So using it instead of version 5 could be some kind of a workaround. GASE 6 can be downloaded and installed for free and is covered by your Cubase/Nuendo license.
Of course, this cannot be the final solution. But, at this point, we just have to wait and see what the developers find out.

My projects all in GA5 full version and GA6SE is not my variant of course… bad times 
I was under the impression that the SE versions could not open GA sound libraries from previous versions (only the full GA6 can do that)? I have full version of GA4 and my sound libraries are nowhere to be found using GASE 6. In fact, I can’t even see where to download them from Steinberg (my product eLicense shows on the ST website, but there are no GA4 sounds available to download in my download manager).
I’ve been monitoring all the responses and noting @Jan_Riesener’s really helpful posts and I’ve finally managed to get all of the kits back and they appear in the Load Panel when I click on ALL again! Woohoo!
Following the advice, I went to C: > Users > Me > AppData > Roaming > Steinberg and renamed the Groove Agent Standalone_64 and the Groove Agent_64 folders only. No other folders were renamed, so all my Cubase Preferences are still intact. (BTW - I have Windows configured to show all hidden folders in File Explorer, which is why I could navigate straight to the AppData folder.)
I restarted Cubase, opened the latest project that used GA, and all was back to normal. Shut down Cubase again, went back to the Steinberg folder and copied the UserPreferences XML files from both original renamed GA folders and replaced the preference files in the newly created GA folders. Started Cubase again to check my GA preferences had been restored and they had, too!
I hope this helps the other Windows users in this thread. Thanks to everyone for your contributions and sugggestions. I guess it was at least comforting to know that it wasn’t just me encountering this problem, though I’m still in the dark as to why it happened in the first place. Really bizarre!
Tip: on Windows, hold the Windows key and press “R”, then type the following and press Enter:
%APPDATA%\Steinberg
The gets you to the folder of the logged-in user, regardless of username.
i have create , but next day , it dosn’t work , because the first name has been create. ( see the capture of the folder)

We finally found out who is causing the issue. Therefor, we will release an update for the MediaBay in the very near future, which will fix the issue. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you the exact date. But’ll try to keep you informed here.

thanks for your contribution to this issue - but, fyi for others - I just did a clean install on a new windows 11 computer with a new install of Cubase 15 and Groove Agent 6, and i am experiencing this same issue today, but with Halion too which i wouldn’t even care because i don’t use it, but it definitely indicates something has gone awry with some vst instruments (theirs only?) recently.
Anyone else having this problem? Or did the media bay update fix it for everyone?
