Sorry if this an RTFM question, but is there anyway to disable the “Missing MIDI ports” message on Project Load?
I know why the MIDI ports are missing, because I have several controllers and I don’t want to leave them all switched on all the time.
Seems a no brainer to allow the disabling of this message.

At least not a solution where presently it takes 1 click to remove that window.
Sure, it would be a no-brainer. However I also think that would clog up forums with “cubase didn’t show my XXXX” following with “it’s so loaded with bugs.”
You can call it dumbing down Cubase. But ultimately, I think it would create more issues if a disable function was given.

Steinberg would never think “We’d better not give the option to disable the MIDI port message as customers are idiots and it would cause lots of problems”
No patronizing intended.
Any developer must figure out whether or not a feature or function is beneficial and weighs the advantages/disadvantages including user experience. I wrote my guess above, and why I think a preferences option would create more issues than it solves. Atm, it’s 1 click to close the box.
You created a FR with zero votes so far. Personally, using my limited 5 votes, I can think of dozens of other higher priority FRs.
Currently, Cubase does not offer a way to disable the “Missing MIDI ports” message on project load. You can only close it manually each time.
