The “Make Direct Offline Processing Permanent” command does not work inside the Sample Editor or Pool. It only works by selecting the audio from the Project window and selecting the command from the Audio Menu. Annoying, but not a huge problem.
Here’s the problem…this function, formerly known as “Freeze Edit”, allowed the option to, create a new file, or overwrite the original. That option is now gone. The only workaround is to bounce, replace, then do offline edits that maybe you’ll keep, maybe you won’t. A horrible workaround IMO.
Please! Restore this option.
