Missing Presets in Cubase Pro 14

Yesterday, for no reason I can see, Cubase 14 lost my recent projects list from the hub on opening and all my track presets (i.e. strip presets on audio tracks). I’ve seen the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsOFMuXyQ28 but that solution didn’t help. I’ve been trawling solutions all day but found nothing that changes anything.
Any ideas? I’m baffled.

Have you maybe started Cubase 14 in safe mode and changed preferences to factory settings.
Doing this would remove your recent projects from the hub window and remove your user presets.

I don’t think so and anyway, the most annoying part is losing all the factory track presets plus the ones I’ve made. The presets have become a really useful start point that save time. Still baffled.

I found the solution and it’s so obvious that I feel stupid! I tried the reverse of what you suggested and opened C14 in safe mode and deleted the preferences which, of course, restores the factory settings, which included my own presets. Thanks for lighting the way!
