I’m using Halion Sonic 7 as part of Cubase 13, just updated to the latest version on Windows 11. This is a new system and had undergone various re-installations, so it’s entirely possible something has been omitted.
HS7 is showing a missing sound archive error on every preset I’ve tried. However, I can till hear the sound. Which seems a bit odd.
I’ve tried re-installing sound archives by double-clicking but they’re already registered. Both Cubase and HS7 have just been updated to the latest version and I can’t see any missing content in the Download Manager. I’ve always been a bit unclear about this back-end of things so can anyone explain what’s happening please?
Cheers,
C
Hi @Crotchety,
could you share a screenshot of the issue?
Sorry, should have thought…
I’ve just noticed that the Vintage Verb Collection content is also missing, although when I double-click the Sound Archive in my Downloads folder the Library Manager reports that it’s already registered.
Update: I’ve just installed for the first ever time Taped Vibes and that’s showing the same warning but, like everything else, is nevertheless playable.

Sorted. Ended up having to do what I was hoping to avoid, namely: uninstalling all the content I could find (there were duplicates) and Halion SE and reinstalling. Still didn’t work, mind you, I still had the red missing samples button, but I could hear everything so I fiddled about a bit then hit play and all of a sudden problem gone.
So, in short, I’ve no idea what I did eventually but all is now well and I’ve learned plenty about where Cubase stores things
