I think there’s a bug in V15 with Mixconsole. I can open console 2 and so on but Mixconsole (which I’ve keyed to numeric keypad 4) is a nonvisible window, so I can never see it.
On the W11 taskbar, it’s a blank icon when hovering over mixconsole. What I mean is, when hovering over the open app in the taskbar, windows shows you the app running in the hovering icon. But this one is just blank and reads “mixconsole”.
So it’s like it’s open but graphically not there.

I’ve never encountered anything like this. Can you try to open Mixconsole via Studio > Mixconsole, please? Also, make sure that you check the assigned key command there.

Was a second monitor connected? The window often opens invisibly in “nowhere” when the screen is missing.

Guys so Copilot solved it for me (gemeni failed). I had to open a menu where there’s a “layout reset” option. Once I did this, Mixconsole 1 started working again.

It would be nice to know if you accidently changed the layout of mixconsole 1 of it it was a glitch. I guess we’ll never find out.
It’s always most helpful to add a screenshot. If it was a glitch I’m sure Steinberg would have loved to know about it.

BTW, layout reset can be found under windows in the mixconsole menu.
the pain is having to upload the image then link to it. If they had an “add image” option I would have.
Just drag the image from the Explorer into this editor.
So not a bug then? Maybe you should edit the title of this post.
Though there’s a fix, I tend to believe it’s still a bug.
I didn’t save my screenshot, but I’ll see if I can reproduce. Don’t know how mixconsole 1 got messed up so it might take some time.

It’s my opinion that Cubase should store the monitor name with the window coordinates, so that when that window opens it can check if the monitor exists, if not display it on the main display. And should fit the window within the bounds of the monitor, as well.
