Hello! I’m on Cubase 150 Pro, and whenever I hit “Default” in preferences in User Interface > MIxConsole Fader Colors, they all pretty much turn the same grey. Are the defaults all grey in Cubase 15 Pro now, or would that have something to do with me transferring my settings from my other computer that had Cubase 14 Pro on it with the Profile Manager? I may have changed them then.
If the defaults aren’t all grey, how do I get the default fader colors back without messing everything else up?

the default colours are indeed gray in Cubase 15.
You can change these colours to your liking and save them as a separate entity in your preference settings when the save dialog pops open. Export it and open it in C15 or just change it in C15 and save it here (separatly or as part of your global preferences).
Got ya! That would make sense why they go grey when I hit “Defaults”! I was wondering if maybe they did that because it’s seeing the defaults as my previous settings.

do you know if the exact Cubase 14 colors are still available and where one could find them? I would just like to do a visual experiment.
If I recall, I THOUGHT that Cubase 14 had the option to choose colors with that little color dropper thing; similar in programs like Paint or Photoshop.. Did that actually exist in earlier versions? And if so, does that still exist now?

I am not sure what you mean. Are you referring to your customized fader colours in C14, the default fader colours in C14 or the colour palette in C14 in general?
Yes, the colour palette has been around for a long time and it still exists. You’ll find it in the project window, the mixer, editors etc. However, if you want to adjust fader colours in your preference settings it’s a different method and not the colour palette you are probably referring to.
I’m referring to how the default audio track fader color was kind of a light bluish tint, and other tracks had different colors/ tints as well in Cubase 14. I’m wondering where you can find those exact colors.

there are different concepts for applying colours to objects. The most important one is the colour palette that is applied to tracks and which is available as a dropdown palette with pre-defined colour choices (different kind of bluish like you said).
You can either built a custom colour palette from scratch (cumbersome) or you can extract one from a *cpr project and make it your default palette (and tweak it to taste afterwards if needed).
