Hello and have a nice evening!
I know for sure that this is a topic that many have covered before me and many still trying to find a way to make it work. Probably, now with CB14 and Midi Remote, this can actually be received, but I am still on v.10.04.0.
So, as far as I know, and have done a lot of digging over forums and groups, CB MixConsole and generic remote, are bound to track order style creations and implementation. Moreover, hide tracks are not reflected on the control surface, rather still occupy the bank, but the mixer window does not show them (obviously).
Also, there is not any kind of MIDI message going out of CB when you change the visibility setting, so GR will not have any info to follow. The only thought I had last night before going to bed, was that:
- The GR sees only what is already mapped.
- The controller reflects that accordingly and is bound to that order.
What if there was a way of having a GR that actually can reflect only the “show channels” and at the same time “not assigned” the hidden tracks? In this situation, you will have the show channels as “mapped” and the others as not, while you do not lose the fader’s position inside the DAW.
I know it is way beyond a long shot but that was a thought! Of course, if there is another way please, welcome!
Thank you!
