Mixdown file has 2 minutes of blank space before the song starts

This is odd. I mixdown this song and when I bring it into Wavelab, the song has around 2minutes of blank space before the song begins; then it’s all there; so the 3 minute song is 5 minutes. I checked the project setup and there is no offset setting or anything abnormal.
I received this song from another artist to mix. He uses Cubase Pro 14; I’m still on 13, but I can’t see that being an issue. Any ideas as to what I may have missed?
I can still delete the 2 minutes at the front, but I’m just checking if there is something out there that I’d missed. Thanks

Left locator is probably placed 2 mins before the song start

It is possible that when you export, the mix the locators are set to start from 0 even if the song starts 2m further down in the timeline.
You can share a screenshot of your Cubase mixdown project if you are not sure.

Thanks for the help guys, but I think it’s a glitch in the project file. But to answer your questions, there was no space before the song begins, other than four bars; so the song started at bar 5; there’s no tempo map either.
Also, I just started a mix on another song and the first thing I did was do a mixdown of all the tracks at once and there is four or five seconds in front as would be expected. So, again, I’m chalking this one up to a glitch in the project file.
Many thanks guys.
