Mixed tuplet notes values in tuplet popover?

Hello all,
I commonly use tuplets of mixed note values, e.g.:
2 quarter notes in the space of seven 16th notes, etc.

Of course these tuplets can be written as a different fraction, e.g. 8:7 (16ths). But my experience as a player shows me that many times a ‘simplified’ version as that written above is often easier to read quickly.

Is there any way to quickly do this in Dorico? The tuplet popover unfortunately doesn’t respond to input like “2q:7x”.

Thank you~

You cannot do that, no. Only the second part of the division gets the rhythmic reference. To achieve it, you must create a 8:7x and then use staff text to replace the tuplet marking to what you want.
