Have you tried Reassign Playback Sounds and re-applying your Playback Template?
Where can I reassign playback sounds?
The menu command @Derrek is talking about is in the Play menu.
But I would suggest choosing Play > Playback Template, choosing HSSE+HSO (Pro) from the list, and clicking Apply and Close. That should set things straight.
I’ve done this before, it doesn’t work
Here is the other command (I think I incorrectly remembered the Finale name of it) which is also in the Play menu.
I tried this also, but it doesn’t work.

I found that clicking the Activate button let me load HALion sounds and hear your piece (even some notes that appear to be hidden at the beginning.
