Is there anyway to keep midi tracks selected and active when opening the Mixer without having something recorded. For the purpose of building templates I’d like to explore test EQ"-Vrbs etc, using St Outputs without having to record. However, for me opening the mixer unselects the midi channels and deactivates the Stereo Outs. I can’t find anything in preferences that keeps midi chans active with the mixer open. Anyway to do this?

If you select another track in mixer, I guess the automatic select disappear.
Try unchecking the autoarm for selected track(or what it’s called).
There is one for audio tracks and one for midi tracks i preferenses.
I find manually doing these things are better anyway.
