Mixer not working -?

In the attached piece I want the cello velocity to be a bit less so that it doesn’t overpower the viola, but when I slide the bar down on the cello in the mixer, nothing changes. In fact the M and S buttons also don’t change anything. I’m using NotePerformer.

I’m using NotePerformer.

With NotePerformer you need to use the NotePerformer mixer, not Dorico’s

Adding to @Janus’s answer, NotePerformer by default returns all of its output on Dorico’s first mixer channel.

To open NP’s own mixer, go to Play mode and click the ‘e’ button for one of your tracks.

In Play mode, click the little e at the lower right in the picture.

Then, in the Noteperformer mixer, click settings in the upper left.

Hi Jesele, the “Settings” option is missing. There is a “Reset” option, but in Finale clicking on that leads to more problems.

It might have been a new feature in NP 5.
