My project often uses a few voices from each of several different VST instruments, so the mixer usually has at least 50 sliders that will never be assigned to anything. It would be great if we could do something like:
- drag to re-order the sliders (so we can move all the active sliders to the left), and/or
- hide/show unassigned sliders
Just a suggestion. Thanks.
It is on our list to have the ability to mark faders as hidden.
I assume this is fixed in the newer versions of Dorico but I can’t figure out where the hide/show functionality of the sliders is. Can someone point me to it. Thanks
There’s an “Unused” button to the right of the FX button. By default it is deactivated so you should only see channel strips that are routed from the Track Inspector tab in Play mode. You use the Unused button to show extended VST outputs.
It looks like it is the Drum Set. It seems to include a bunch of extra faders for percussion instruments I’m not using. The Piano roll lets you collapse them but the mixer doesn’t.
Frequently requested feature. The mixer does need a bit of love: groups, sum busses, folders etc.
