Is there a way to mix in mono right from the mixing console? Some mixers say its better to mix in mono ,then change back to stereo when playing back.
It’s as simple as keeping all your panning centred. For stereo tracks/FX returns and the like you could use the combinded panner setting and center those as well. Or to keep it even more simple use the control room with mono downmix enabled.
