I’m not thinking there’s a way to do this, but I figured I’d ask.
In my string writing, I sometimes alternate between soloists and sections. It would be nice to hear these samples accurately, but I don’t prefer to use different staves.
Possible?
The only way I can think of now is to add another instrument to the player/section and give it a solo sound.
But I hope they’ll make it possible to change midi channels in the expression maps soon, then this won’t be a problem.
We do plan to handle this automatically in future, by examining the groups in a divisi, and allocating a different channel to each divisi section.
