Modifying “save as default” paragraph styles

I created a paragraph style, saved it as default to make it available in all projects, and then realized I needed to modify it. But I can’t save that style as default again.

How exactly does this work? Do I need to duplicate it and re-save as default? Is there a way to automatically update it in all projects where it is used? Is there a backend way to edit the user library to remove unwanted, outdated styles?

Open Paragraph Styles, find your style, untick the star, and click OK. Then go back in, modify the style, tick the star, and click OK.

I don’t think so – probably need to use Library Manager (or make the change by hand).

Yes – go to your Dorico user config folder and edit userlibrary.xml. Scroll down to <paragraphStyles>, and then delete any definition you don’t want, from <ParagraphStyleEntityDefinition> through </ParagraphStyleEntityDefinition>.
