Modulation Groups (Link Modulators with Their Target FX)

Request:

Now that Cubase has modulators, it would be great to have a way to link modulators with the plugins they control into a single unit.

Idea:

Create a “Modulation Group” where:

- Modulator(s) + target plugin(s) behave as one system

Why this is needed:

Right now, modulators and FX are separate:

- Bypassing a modulator doesn’t affect the plugin

- No shared control between modulation and processing

- Complex setups become hard to manage

Suggested Features:

- Linked bypass (modulator ↔ plugin)

- One macro to control both modulation + plugin (mix/bypass)

- Ability to enable/disable the whole group

- Clear visual grouping

Example:

If an LFO is modulating a filter, turning off the modulator could also bypass the filter — treating them as one unit.

Note:

This is not about copying other DAWs, but improving Cubase’s own modulation workflow by making modulation and sound processing more connected.

This would make modulation workflows much faster and cleaner, especially for sound design.
