Sorry if this topic has already been covered. In Cubase 14, I use the “Monitor” button to listen to vocals or instruments while recording. But then, when I try to listen to the new recording, I get no sound unless I disable “Monitor.” Is there a way to listen without having to disable that button every time? It’s very annoying to do it every time. Thank you very much!

You can set the behavior of the monitoring in Preferences / VST :
Auto Monitoring
Determines how Cubase handles monitoring. The following options are available:
Manual
Turns input monitoring on or off when you click Monitor.
While Record-Enabled
Connects the audio source to the channel input when you click Record Enable.
While Record Running
Switches to input monitoring during recording only.
Tapemachine Style
Activates input monitoring in stop mode and during recording, but not during playback.
