Hi everyone! I need some help: I’m having interference on the right monitor in my home studio. I’m using Cubase 15, Yamaha HS7 monitors, and a Tascam US 2x2 interface, all with professional cables and connected to the same power supply. My PC is a Core i7 with 64GB of RAM and solid-state drives. I’ve swapped the monitors and cables, but the right monitor still has interference, ev
en with the audio signal muted. Any ideas on what else I should check? Thanks!
Did you check to see if you have loop back or direct monitoring engaged?
If you can post a screenshot of your audio connections, and studio set up Windows, we could probably make a better assessment.
If you use Tascam US2x2 then you should use the Tascam ASIO driver in Cubase not Steinberg built in. Not sure this will have much bearing on interference in one monitor but you should change that first.
What are the videos supposed to be showing…with no sound they don’t seem to be anything relevant to what you’re describing. By interference you do mean a sound of some kind I take it?
Does it only sound when Cubase is opened? Or do you still hear it if you close Cubase
Thank you for your dedication in responding. Yes, I’m aware of the ASIO issue; I changed it because some older VSTs don’t work with the TASCAM one. Changing this didn’t change the interference issue. The sound is always present, even with Cubase closed and the monitor’s audio disconnected. However, the interference is still visible in Cubase even with no sound playing and the monitors turned off. Could it be a voltage problem with my CPU?
