Montage Mystery Behavior

I am seeing some problematic behavior in a montage. I set the montage up to burn a CD. There are four .wav files, each from a different directory. The initial version worked fine. I then modified the component files which resulted in them being slightly longer than the originals. In bringing up the montage again, I find that the audio is terminated slightly early in some segments (a segment corresponding to a component .wav file). There are also small red triangles preceding each segment that, when clicked, inform me that there is some portion of the audio missing at the end.

So, is this just the way it works? If I change a component file in the montage, do I just need to recreate the montage all over again, or is there some kind of restructure/rebuild command that will straighten things out? I haven’t found anything in the manual that addresses this issue. Thanks for any enlightenment.

The titles are determined by the title markers. If you change the length of some audio files, you might need to shift some of the markers.

I probably should have mentioned I’m using Wavelab Elements. There is no mention of title markers in the manual. If I pull up the markers window (which I never had occasion to use previously), I see two markers, both at the same location at the end of the last segment. So, no opportunity to change the length of a segment.

If you want to change the length of a clip, you can resize it by clicking and dragging the clip edges.
