Montage order in Wavelab Pro 13

Hello,

I use Wavelab montages to create albums from concert recordings where everything is split up into individual tracks/songs and the talking in between as other “talking” tracks.

I really like the new functionality in v13 to process multiple tracks simultaneously, rendering the songs in the montage simultaneously instead of one after the other in sequence. It really reduces the amount of time to render the whole album. The only issue that I have with it is that when it adds a tab in my project to each new exported track, they get added in the order they get processed. So I have to manually reorder the tabs. It wouldn’t be so bad if it were only a few, but I normally have about 25 tabs that I have to drag left and right, so it is a bit annoying having the manual process.

Is there any easier way to organize/sort them? I have a custom naming setup where each track is exported with the track number padded by zeroes at the beginning so that it starts at 01 for proper sorting once it goes above track 09 so it goes to 10, so if there was a way to do a lexicographic (alphabetical) sort they would be in the correct order, but I couldn’t find anything like that.

Thanks!

There is no “Sort Tab” feature at the moment (but I note the idea for a future update).
This being said, there is a trick you could use: close all your tabs, then open the files all at the same time: in this process, WaveLab will sort A-Z the files being opened.
