When I try to edit the length of C4 (highlighted in key edit) the D4 at the beginning of the measure disappears. To make it come back, I have to change the pitch in key edit, but again, if I try to adjust the length of C4, in either key edit or score, the D disappears again.
I took these screen shots to show you can see D4 in key edit, but not in score.
I was confused too, but I figured out he meant the D before that one. It looks like a dotted eighth rest is getting rendered instead in his images (directly below the C6 chord symbol).
well - that’s the point - it shows up one beat 1 on key edit, but not on Score edit. This isn’t the first disappearing notes issue I ran into with C15
Right, but the thing both steve and I weren’t sure of at first was which note was missing. It took a minute or two of staring at it to figure it out.
And the display discrepancy between key edit and score edit still happens –
All eighth notes are 0.0.2.0 in length but they show up as overlapped dotted eighth / sixteenth in score. And erasing the offending notes and writing them in by hand fixes the issue. The chart was hand written from the start, BTW.
