Move to a slower ISP?

I recently moved across the country. My internet/TV service here is Comporium. The upload and download speeds are both 400mbps.

To save money, I’m considering switching to Spectrum. Their speeds are up=5mbps, down=300mbps. Quite a difference when uploading WAV files. Also, I will be using VST Connect and wonder how the slow upload speed will affect that?
I’m on Cubase Pro 12.

I don’t know how much you would save, but 5mbps upload is extremely slow – it will affect all connections that rely on two-way communication. Seems like a bad idea.

You have a symmetrical connection now, which is good for what you are doing.
