Hi, I’m revisiting the same topic I raised over a year ago when I was using Cubase Pro 12 - I’m now on Pro 14 and the previous solution (kindly offered by Greg at Steinberg) no longer seems to apply (14 doesn’t appear to have the ‘follow chord track’ option to switch off that 12 had).
To recap my original post, it read:
I generated a couple of harmony lines from studio recorded vocals and am trying to VariAudio these into sensible harmony lines. But selecting each harmony line separately (‘Soprano’ or ‘Alto’) in VariAudio, I can mouse-drag the notes to where I want them and hear them at the desired pitch (and all points in between); but as soon as I release the note where I want it to go, it snaps back to its original position. I have the following settings in the Inspector:
Smart Controls: All
Pitch snap mode: Absolute
Scale Assistant: Use Editor Scale is selected
Show Scale Note Guides: Not selected
Snap Pitch Editing: Not selected
The track itself has been pasted from various takes and bounced to replace the track and is in musical mode. Incidentally, I had the same problem with the pre-bounced audio and have tried regenerating the harmony tracks several times with the same end result.
I’m sure the answer is something obvious, but I really can’t see it. Thanks for any suggestions.
